Thank you for stopping by the St. Lawrence Chocolate website. St. Lawrence Chocolates opened in December 2006 and has served more than 5,000 customers, bringing them high quality, gourmet, handmade chocolates and confections.

Our Mission:

To provide high quality chocolates and true chocolate and sweet sensation, while promoting the community identity, which is uniquely the St. Lawrence River Valley of Northern New York State.

Our Story:

St. Lawrence Chocolates began when the owner had an epiphany that there was no chocolate shop with in a fifty mile drive. With four colleges within 10 miles, and 112,000 residents in the county, how did we survive all this time without a chocolate shop? The owner and her sisters had made chocolates for family and friends for the holidays, but would it translate into a good business idea. One of the owner’s sisters who had been a pharmacy tech and in the retail business for more than 12 years was ready to make a career move—making and counting chocolates rather than pills. St. Lawrence Chocolates became a family affair. And the owners wanted to make sure that their pride of place came through as well. Hence they began naming their delicacies for places around Northern New York.

It reminded the owners of some great times growing up; has inspired others to consider the area; as well as creating some new memories for visitors and residents alike.
